Vegan Ranch Dressing takes less than 5 minutes to make with simple pantry ingredients like hemp seeds for a thick and creamy dressing without mayo. No need for a processed ranch in a bottle when you can make this easy homemade version of ranch that’s less expensive, and perfect for sandwiches, wraps, salads and use it as a dip for your favorite veggies!

Simple salad with romaine, radishes, carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes in a white bowl. Vegan Ranch Dressing is being poured over the salad puddling in the middle.

Maybe you’re looking to replace those ranch packets with a healthier version? I’ve got a dry ranch mix recipe you’ll love too! Otherwise, this nut-free recipe comes together in just 5-minutes, so it’s a super convenient way to make a dairy-free, creamy ranch dressing.

Ingredient notes

Healthy Ranch Dressing ingredients labeled: hemp seeds, lemons, parsley, onion powder, celery seed, dill, sea salt and garlic.

Step by Step

Well, this will be a quick description…because basically you’re going to put this all in your blender and process until smooth. Even small blenders can handle this recipe. It’s really that easy.

Healthy ranch dressing ingredients in a blender: you can see the lemon zest, parsley, garlic, celery seed, dill and hemp seeds.

In addition to the hemp seeds, parsley, dill, garlic, onion powder and salt, you’ll want to add both the zest and the juice of the lemons. Add water and blend. Scrape down the sides and blend again. That’s it! You are done.

Sprinkle on some fresh, chopped herbs and a pinch of crushed red pepper, if desired. Use as a salad dressing, spread for wraps, in place of mayo in any recipe or as a dip for crudites.

Debra’s Pro Tips

Small glass pitcher filled with healthy ranch dressing. A wooden spoon is coming out of the dressing showing it to be drippy. There are random veggies on a cutting board in the background
  • Dressing will firm up a bit once it’s been in the fridge….so make it in advance if you want a thicker ranch for dipping.
  • If your blender is small, you can halve the recipe…If using a full sized blender make the whole recipe or there won’t be enough in there to adequately mix it up. Plus, you’ll use it all. I know you will.
  • Store in a mason jar with lid in the fridge for 2 weeks.
