Hi, I’m Debra.
I help busy women, like you, create better health and more energy for themselves and their families. How? By showing how eating more plants can be easy, fun and delicious.
In my opinion, the MOST important thing about food is it’s gotta be yummy. If food doesn’t taste good, who is going to eat it? There’s nothing worse than putting aside your time to cook and then having nobody eat it. AND, when you’re making healthy food, there’s an extra layer of scrutiny…so whatever you’re making better LOOK GOOD (because we eat with our eyes first) and be fun…
The best compliment I ever got was from someone who is a meat and potatoes guy and said: “she makes vegetables FUN.”
When I’m “in the zone” of vibrancy, it’s so much easier to do all the things that contribute to being there: put myself to bed on time, meal plan and prep, schedule in my workouts, make time for extra curriculars that stimulate me intellectually and spiritually, etc.
Vibrant good health isn’t an all or nothing proposition…EVERY step you take matters.
I want that for you too! Why? it’s not enough for ME to be “in the zone” of vibrancy. SHARING what I know….THAT is where the magic is for me….it’s one of the many layers of nourishment that I need to thrive.
Making food from scratch, and eating at home is the single best way to take control of your health and well-being.
Not only do you get to control the ingredients, but you also have an opportunity to control the vibe. Growing up, I always thought the nourishment I received came from my Grandmother’s wholesome ingredients. I didn’t realize until years later that the added ingredients that made the difference was the relationships I was building around the table. Part of the nourishment came from the love and connection…..POWERFUL stuff there.
What stops you from cooking more often?
Not enough time, money, energy, ideas?
Not enough motivation, education, creativity, confidence?
No problem, I’ve got you. How do I know the solutions to your struggles? I’ve been there. My struggle may not have looked just like yours, but the solution is the same. It all begins with TAKING ACTION. Start where you are. I’ll meet you there, with no judgment.
You’ll find fun, tasty, manageable recipes for all parts of your life here.
Recipes that are also loaded with plant-based energizing nutrition.
Does this sound like you?
- It’s 4pm and I still don’t know what’s for dinner.
- I’ve put aside an hour on Sunday for Healthy Meal Prep….now what?
- I’m late for work, I need a grab and go breakfast or I will have to go through the drive through.
- I’ve gained so much weight around my middle because of my age…I just don’t know WHAT to eat anymore.
- I threw out all the cheat foods….what are we supposed to eat for snacks?
- I don’t have time to run to the store….what can I make with what I’ve got?
- If I stop buying packaged/processed foods, WHAT WILL WE SNACK ON?
- Is dessert really that bad? What’s OK to eat if I have a sweet tooth?
I understand the appeal of packaged/processed/restaurant food. It’s quick, it’s easy, it’s tasty—–but it’s also DEADLY. We can do better, in every category and it’s DOABLE.
Come hang out with me. I know it can be intimidating to get into the kitchen when you’re not used to it. I provide practical solutions to your obstacles with recipes that are doable. Tips and tricks to stay organized and efficient in the kitchen…so you can make choices that enable you to have the energy needed for the life you crave.
Follow me on social media. Instagram stories is where I post most often. Local Health Coaching & Cooking Classes
What I’ve learned through my training at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and from my years of coaching is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs which has helped me develop a personalized holistic approach recognizing that what works well for one person may not work for the next person.
I received my training as a Health Coach from Integrative Nutrition’s cutting edge Health Coach Training Program. During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. The real education at IIN was in how to listen for clues as to what’s not working well for people and help them find their healthy balance. To round out my education and have the greatest impact on others, I received certification from the American Council on Exercise as a personal trainer.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, exercise science, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories as well as my cooking skills, passion for developing healthy recipes and an innate ability to break complex situations into manageable bites, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
