Whether you like to serve healthy appetizers or something more hearty for the big game, I’ve got over 25 healthy Super Bowl recipes and fun game day snack ideas for you.
When I lived on the West Coast, the games were always earlier, so game day food was usually appetizers and snacks during the first half, dinner during half time and desserts at the end of the game.
Here on the East Coast, everything starts so late. Game day food begins before the game! It’s mostly healthy finger foods…I like the format of heavy appetizers, skip dinner and by half time we have moved onto the sweet stuff!
I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite Healthy Game Day Recipes, to make it easy for you to figure out what to make this year. I did include a few dinner ideas, as well as a couple of salads….but I focused on vegan appetizers and snacks….cuz they’re fun! Also, they’re perfect when you don’t have a large crowd….and it doesn’t matter what time you’re watching.
You’ll find low-carb dip suggestions, homemade salsa and guac….plus an array of gluten-free and vegan appetizers .
Don’t worry though, I didn’t forget the healthy desserts...because, you know, chocolate!!
