These winter salad recipes are sure to dazzle and satisfy. Eating healthy salads doesn’t have a season and winter is the perfect time to get your leafy greens on! Salad is always in style and you can dress them up too!
I know how it is in the winter months…it’s hard to get excited about a cold salad. A great way way to combat that feeling is to serve a warm salad. Maybe a kale salad with roasted sweet potatoes or brussels sprouts?
Green salads aren’t the only way to go. One of my favorite ways to change things up is to use winter ingredients that aren’t always available. Winter fruits like pomegranate seeds, and citrus fruit like sweet blood oranges are beautiful paired with winter salad greens.
Trust me, a gorgeous salad sells any time of year.
Here you’ll find interesting vegan winter salad ideas. Cold-weather salads with plant-based protein, roasted veggies or crisp and crunchy raw veggies or a combination of all of the above are my favorites.

Whatever your mood, your budget, your time constraints, there’s an awesome salad in this round up for you! Need a vegan salad? Gotcha! A grain-free winter salad? How about a winter crunch salad? Yup, you’ll find those on this list too.
There’s no better way to get in your veggies all winter long, than to have an endless supply of scrumptious salad recipes. Here are a few of my favorite winter salad recipes.

The perfect winter salad.
The perfect winter salad does exist…it’s just different for all of us. What I call vegan comfort food may not appeal to you in the same way.
Don’t be afraid to make up your own delicious winter salad. I like to keep a large glass salad bowl in my fridge, lined with a paper towel. Chop up any fresh greens you have (baby arugula works just as well as hardy greens)and throw them in. Anytime you have leftover grains, roasted veggies or extra raw veggies (like half a red pepper…anyone?), throw them into that bowl.
Make a delicious homemade dressing or two every week and keep them labeled in your fridge. So easy to then use what’s in your big bowl, drizzle on some of your own dressing and call it lunch! A handful of what’s in that large bowl makes a great side dish too.
My weekly “go to” I call easy everyday salad dressing recipe and I always have a jar of it in the fridge. I’m currently really into my chipotle salad dressing and you can’t go wrong with a bottle of mango salad dressing in your fridge either. But, I’ll let you in on a little secret: the number one salad dressing recipe on this site is creamy vegan avocado cilantro. Hands down.
What’s better in the winter than a delicious soup and hearty winter salad combo for a healthy lunch or dinner? My personal favorite meal any time of the year!

A great place to start..one of my faves! That fennel gets caramelized with the carrots for a naturally sweet result. So, so good…putting it into my meal plan this week right now!
