It’s All In The Spin.

Published: Apr 17, 2014 · Modified: Feb 25, 2021 by Debra Klein · This post may contain affiliate links ·

Healthy change begins with our perspective and definition of change. It starts in the mind and then moves into other categories of our lives like food, nutrition, exercise, sleep quality, relationships and more.

Nothing changes if nothing changes. Duh! But what if change is daunting because it means there is “something wrong” and that we are “not good enough” the way we are? What if making physical change isn’t the first step for making radical healthy change in your life?

Change your focus. Change your perception. Change your story. Simple as that!

I like to start all client sessions with the question “What’s new and Good?” Similarly, I start all workshops having everyone share the answer to that same question.  It puts us in the mindset of looking at (and for) the positive.

As we become accustomed to looking at our world from the perspective of “what went well” rather than looking for proof of our own inadequacies, we retrain ourselves to intuitively bolster our own spirit without having to look outside for validation that we are good enough just the way we are.

Now, with your feet planted in the positive, it’s easier to actually make physical changes that go along with the mindset that you deserve only the best.

Healthy change messes with the physical, intellectual, psychological AND physiological status quo.

You GET TO nourish your body and soul with goodness.  Look for ways to enhance your life by pursuing activities you enjoy on a regular basis. Spend time with friends or relatives that inspire and fulfill you.  Fill up on nutrient dense foods that will supply you with the energy you need to live abundantly.

Change your definition of change, and watch how things can change, even if nothing (physical) changes!  It really is as simple as that!
