Baked Cabbage Steaks

This easy recipe for Baked Cabbage Steaks is so tasty, you'll make it all the time! Roasting cabbage makes it easier to digest, brings out the gorgeous color and the tender cabbage is just delicious!

Ingredients

Red cabbage, olive oil, pistachios, salt and pepper.

Prep Cabbage

Cut cabbage in half through the core. Them cut each half into "steaks"

Prep to bake

Arrange cabbage steaks in a single layer on a lrge rimmed baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Bake

Bake in preheated 425 oven for 15 minutes. Then sprinkle on pistachios and roast for another 10 minutes. 

Plate

Transfer crispy cabbage steaks to a plate and serve warm or at room temperature. 

Serving Suggestion

Use two forks to pull apart cabbage steaks and pile the tender and crispy strands onto a plate.
