Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies

Vegan Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookies have crisp edges and a chewy center. They're lightly sweetened with maple syrup and sprinkled with a touch of flakey seat salt for tasty perfection.

Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

Mix together tahini, maple syrup and vanilla extract.

Dry Ingredients

To the creamy mixture, add in ground flax, almond flour, baking soda and powder, and mix well.

Add chocolate chunks

Cookie dough will be thick and pasty.  Stir in chocolate chunks and chill for 30 minutes.

Scoop cookies onto tray

Use a cookie scoop or two tablespoons to portion dough out into 18 balls. 

Flatten

Use the bottom of a glass to flatten cookies onto the baking sheet.

Salt and Bake

Sprinkle on flakey sea salt and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 12 minutes. 

Cool

Let cookies sit on baking tray for 10 minutes and then transfer to wire rack.
