"Homemade Vegan Granola for the super snackable win! Delicious crunchy clusters of vegan granola that are perfect for a quick breakfast or healthy snack. Something the whole family can enjoy.
- Debra Klein
In a large bowl, mix oats, nuts, seeds, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and sea salt together.
In a separate bowl, mix together almond butter, applesauce, maple syrup and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
Pour the wet mixture into the large bowl with the oat mixture and mix well. Keep pulling up the dry stuff from the bottom until everything is uniformly sticky.
Turn granola batter onto parchment lined baking sheet. Pack it in tightly, pressing into edges and corners.
Bake in preheated 300 degree oven for 50 minutes. For crispy clusters that aren't burnt, it's important to bake granola low and slow. Break into clusters.
Store in an airtight container. Homemade oil free granola will stay good at room temperature for a couple of weeks or the freezer for up to 6 months.
